We realize the urgent need for efforts to deal with unsustainable practices and behavior to mitigate the impact of environmental degradation.
The focus of our work is to educate and empower people to have the awareness and the means to take responsibility for the waste they produce.
The Digitalization of Environmental Services program aims to invite local communities to sort waste and become active players in environmental preservation.
We have established an integrated environmental service system, with the help of the sa'puLidi application & the sa’puLidi Dropbox (plastic bottle containers). This program is aimed at households, school students, and MSMEs (Medium Small Micro Enterprises).
We have developed the sa'puLidi application as a bridge between stakeholders so that we can collaborate managing waste in a sustainable manner.
Currently we have installed 2 dropboxes in key locations on Doom Island - located at Sahara Jetty and Goa Japan. Our dropboxes are stationed with the intention of educating local communities of the importance of preserving the environment by not throwing away plastic but instead sorting and storing them at home, or in a nearby dropbox.
The Sa’puLidi dropbox is used for:
Environmental campaign and education
Plastic bottle sorting
Plastic bottle storage container
Preventing plastic bottles from drifting into the sea
The Sa'puLidi application is used for:
Media communication with stakeholders
Encouraging households to sort their own waste

Our goal for stage 1 of the Digitalization of Environmental Services Programme is: to reduce plastic and air pollution through installing 17 Dropboxes in key public locations across Doom Island.
The potential benefits towards mitigating GHG Emissions and plastic pollution can be seen below:
Potential Reduction of Plastic Pollution:
63,206 plastic bottles* per year
and
72.5 tons of plastic bottles* per year
Potential Reduction of GHG Emissions:
20.91 tons CO2e per year
*Assuming the average size of plastic bottles is 330ml.
