Empowering Women

To achieve our goal of creating a balanced ecosystem, local communities need to be empowered financially as well. Our Ecoprint workshop is an environmentally-friendly empowerment programme aimed at improving the welfare of women and especially housewives’ in Sorong.

Ecoprint empowers women by allowing them to generate income using naturally growing materials and sustainable methods. Utilizing naturally growing plants as materials for making dyes have many advantages over their chemical counterparts: Firstly they are environmentally friendly; secondly, the manufacturing process is simple; and lastly the ingredients are easy to obtain as they are found in the surrounding environment and can be homegrown.
