What is a Homestay Village?
A Homestay Village is a form of tourism that promotes cultural exchanges, community development, and sustainable travel practices. Our Activities
Capacity Building: Conduct workshops for local residents including homestay owners, boat owners, food providers and local guides to increase their language and hospitality skills.
Renovation: Improve existing homestays and facilities in the village in order to not only increase the residents’ quality of life, but also to promote tourism.
Conservation: We integrate indigenous knowledge and culture into conservation and sustainable management practices. Utilizing the Papuan Sasi tradition for biodiversity conservation as an example.
During our activities, we take special care to ensure that Climate Justice is upheld and that local communities benefit from our intervention in their ecosystem.
